About

Amy is an author, coach, and speaker for several ministries and mommy blogs. In 2019, she founded a retreat for moms who have suffered child loss, miscarriage, or stillbirth called the WHOLEHEARTED Retreat.

She loves to spend time laughing at her handsome pilot husband and kids, quoting the show “Friends,” and is constantly trying to break up with diet coke. Her family recently grew through the beautiful and messy journey of adoption. What a story! For details, catch her on Instagram @amyasylvestre.

She writes and speaks about walking and wrestling with our good God in every season of life, through our joys and through deep despair, grief, and disappointment. She encourages vulnerability, expressing what you really feel, and clinging to God’s eternal words even when our faith is shaky.

Amy is many types of moms! She is a mom to her oldest biological son, an adoptive mom, a mom of loss, and a heart mom. She’s also one tired mama!

Amy holds a Master’s Degree with a concentration in International Relations and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and French (mais, oui!) from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Amy worked for over five years for Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan and now does ministry around the city of Chicago, including speaking regularly at Willow Creek Community Church.

She’d love to connect and speak at your next women’s retreat, small group, or event. Zoom calls work too! She loves speaking on growing in faith, wrestling with God with a broken heart, and all things adoption!

She has a new book coming out in 2021. Sign up below for details!
